Are you affiliated with the College Board?+
No. We are an independent tool that reads the College Board's own public Course and Exam Description PDFs and cross-references them against your draft. The AP Course Audit is run by the College Board — we don't submit anything for you.
Will Syllabus Lint guarantee approval?+
No. No third-party tool can. What we do: surface every Curricular Requirement gap before you submit, so the version you upload is the strongest one you're capable of writing. Borderline calls are labeled REVIEW NEEDED so you can double-check them.
What happens on January 31?+
That's the annual AP Course Audit submission deadline. If your syllabus is rejected, the resubmission cycle runs ~8 weeks. Three rejections in a year and the school cannot label the course 'AP' the following school year — enrollments are lost and students can't earn the AP designation on transcripts.
Which AP courses are supported?+
The ten highest-enrollment courses at launch: AP U.S. History, AP English Language, AP Calculus AB, AP Biology, AP CS Principles, AP Chemistry, AP Psychology, AP World History: Modern, AP U.S. Government and Politics, AP Physics 1. More courses ship as CED requirement lists are digitized.
Does my syllabus text leave my browser?+
PDF uploads are parsed with pdfjs entirely client-side. When you click Run Audit, only the plain text is sent to our audit endpoint for the AI cross-reference — and only saved (tied to your account) if you're signed in, so you can re-run it later.
Why $89 instead of a subscription?+
Audit submission is a once-a-year event for most teachers. You pay per syllabus, unlimited re-runs during your revision cycle, one downloadable Preflight PDF. No subscription to cancel.
